Introduction

Welcome! This project provides scaffolding to making your own CrowdStrike workshop/coursebook.

Development is done natively on GitHub with changes auto-populating on a GitBook landing site.

Using CrowdStrike Workshop Curriculum

Our workshop curriculum is open source and free to use. This means anyone is welcome to work through the material at their own pace, even if they don't have a place on one of our instructor-led sessions.

If you do decide to use our material in your own resources please let us know! We'd love to hear about others benefiting from this content. This helps us get a sense for content impact, and feedback about what's working and would could be improved is invaluable.

License

This workshop is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. This means you can share or adapt the material as you like, as long as you:

  1. Give us credit for creating it

  2. Maintain the original license

  3. Continue to offer it free of charge

Speaking of credit, this workshop template extends work originally done by Founders and Coders on their own coursework. Founders and Coders is a UK-based nonprofit that develops and runs tuition-free, peer-led training programmes in web development, guided by their core values of cooperation, inclusion and social impact.

What you can do

  1. Work through the material yourself, or in groups of like-minded people

  2. Clone the workshop repos to work on them locally

  3. Fork the workshop repos so you have a copy on your own GitHub account. Please consider submiting pull requests back upstream!

What you cannot do

  1. Create your own copy of the curriculum with our license removed

  2. Create your own copies of the workshops by pasting our material into a new repo

  3. Any other activity that removes attribution or authorship history
